The Destructive Influence of Pietism in American Society
March 17, 2012

Christian men of old saw things far differently. They Believed the civil authorities should “kiss the Son, lest He be angry” (Psalm 2:10-12). They sought to win the magistrates of their day to Christ or to at least respect His rule. They understood that the law of God in society was needed, and that civil government was suppose to be a picture of God’s justice and glory in the earth, causing men to consider matters of eternal salvation.

A Brief History on Pietism and Statist Rulers
March 17, 2012

Why Rulers Promote a Pietistic Form of Christianity by Pastor Matt Trewhella Pietism was a movement which originated in the late 17th century. Pietists believe Christianity or God’s Law has no place for the governance of society. They view involvement in pubic policy matters to be “unspiritual.” They believe Christianity should be only a private […]

The Bane of Pietism and the Murder of the Preborn
April 18, 2011

by Pastor Matt Trewhella Many Christians have attacked our efforts on behalf of the preborn over the years. This happens because much of American Christianity is rooted in Pietism. Pietism thinks that Christianity only affects the inward or the personal. The Pietist believes Christianity should be a private matter and should withdraw from the public […]

Sodomy, a Rogue Congress, and the Rule of Law by Rev. Matthew Trewhella In late December 1989, General Vasile Milea, who was the Romanian Minister of Defense, was ordered by Romania’s leader, Nicolae Ceausescu, to shoot demonstrators who opposed Ceausescu’s rule. Debt, Dependency and the American Education Industry
March 2, 2010

In America today, everyone thinks you should just go to college after you’re done with high school. Parents just assume it is their duty to make sure their child goes off to the university. Very little thought goes into this decision, other than which university. I want to proffer the idea that maybe one should […]

HONDURAS CONFLICT: The Lesser-Magistrate Doctrine in Action
January 5, 2010

All the socialists and one-world government leaders, including our own president, Barack Obama, have lined up against these lesser-magistrates. They are threatening them with economic destruction in an attempt to get them to capitulate their sovereignty and freedom. They want to make examples of them lest any other upstarts get the idea to preserve their Constitution and liberty from tyrants.

We must remember that all authority is delegated. No man who holds State office rules autonomously. The authority he has is delegated to him by God. Hence, all those in positions of authority stand accountable to God. This is why the practice of the church historically has been – when the State commands that which God forbids or forbids that which God commands, we have a duty to obey God rather than man. The Bible clearly teaches this principle.

Rev. George Wilson: A Life Well-Lived
September 8, 2007

In the midst of this cheap, me-centered, American Christianity, few seem to finish the race. In the midst of this cheap, me-centered, American Christianity, there are few men you can emulate; there are few men who provoke you to love and good works; few men who keep you pressing toward the high mark. George Wilson was one of those few men, and I will dearly miss him.

Christians Should Desire To Have Many Children
July 27, 2007

As Christians, we have children because we see God’s created order declared in Scripture and we obey it; we live in fulfillment of it; we don’t try to circumvent it. We are a theologically-driven people. We conduct our lives in accordance with Holy Scripture. We do what we do based upon what the Word of God declares. We have children, even large numbers of them, because we have fealty to the Lord and His Word. Our worldview is shaped by Holy Scripture.
