Is Education Comprehensive or Selective?
December 12, 2013

I spend much time out on university campuses preaching. I often have some of my children with me when I do so. The question always arises at some point – “Why aren‟t your kids in school?” I explain that we homeschool our children. This always results in the accusation that my wife and I – […]

America’s Education System Breeds Perpetual Adolescence
December 11, 2013

It is my contention that America breeds perpetual adolescence amongst its people. We are a nation of people that refuses to grow up. I Corinthians 13:11 states “When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put […]

The Destructive Influence of Pietism in American Society
March 17, 2012

Christian men of old saw things far differently. They Believed the civil authorities should “kiss the Son, lest He be angry” (Psalm 2:10-12). They sought to win the magistrates of their day to Christ or to at least respect His rule. They understood that the law of God in society was needed, and that civil government was suppose to be a picture of God’s justice and glory in the earth, causing men to consider matters of eternal salvation.

March 17, 2012

Why Rulers Promote a Pietistic Form of Christianity by Pastor Matt Trewhella Pietism was a movement which originated in the late 17th century. The Romanian Revolution had commenced just a week earlier when secret police attempted to […]

Debt, Dependency and the American Education Industry
March 2, 2010

In America today, everyone thinks you should just go to college after you’re done with high school. Parents just assume it is their duty to make sure their child goes off to the university. Very little thought goes into this decision, other than which university. I want to proffer the idea that maybe one should […]

HONDURAS CONFLICT: The Lesser-Magistrate Doctrine in Action
January 5, 2010

All the socialists and one-world government leaders, including our own president, Barack Obama, have lined up against these lesser-magistrates. They are threatening them with economic destruction in an attempt to get them to capitulate their sovereignty and freedom. They want to make examples of them lest any other upstarts get the idea to preserve their Constitution and liberty from tyrants.

We must remember that all authority is delegated. No man who holds State office rules autonomously. The authority he has is delegated to him by God. Hence, all those in positions of authority stand accountable to God. This is why the practice of the church historically has been – when the State commands that which God forbids or forbids that which God commands, we have a duty to obey God rather than man. The Bible clearly teaches this principle.
