The Destructive Influence of Pietism in American Society

Christian men of old saw things far differently. They Believed the civil authorities should "kiss the Son, lest He be angry" (Psalm 2:10-12). They sought to win the magistrates of their day to Christ or to at least respect His rule. They understood that the law of God in society was needed, and that civil government was suppose to be a picture of God's justice and glory in the earth, causing men to consider matters of eternal salvation.

HONDURAS CONFLICT: The Lesser-Magistrate Doctrine in Action

All the socialists and one-world government leaders, including our own president, Barack Obama, have lined up against these lesser-magistrates. They are threatening them with economic destruction in an attempt to get them to capitulate their sovereignty and freedom. They want to make examples of them lest any other upstarts get the idea to preserve their Constitution and liberty from tyrants.

The Lesser Magistrate Doctrine: A Sword Against Unjust Edicts and Tyranny

We must remember that all authority is delegated. No man who holds State office rules autonomously. The authority he has is delegated to him by God. Hence, all those in positions of authority stand accountable to God. This is why the practice of the church historically has been – when the State commands that which God forbids or forbids that which God commands, we have a duty to obey God rather than man. The Bible clearly teaches this principle.
