The Destructive Influence of Pietism in American Society

Christian men of old saw things far differently. They Believed the civil authorities should "kiss the Son, lest He be angry" (Psalm 2:10-12). They sought to win the magistrates of their day to Christ or to at least respect His rule. They understood that the law of God in society was needed, and that civil government was suppose to be a picture of God's justice and glory in the earth, causing men to consider matters of eternal salvation.

In the midst of this cheap, me-centered, American Christianity, few seem to finish the race. In the midst of this cheap, me-centered, American Christianity, there are few men you can emulate; there are few men who provoke you to love and good works; few men who keep you pressing toward the high mark. George Wilson was one of those few men, and I will dearly miss him.

Christians Should Desire To Have Many Children

As Christians, we have children because we see God’s created order declared in Scripture and we obey it; we live in fulfillment of it; we don’t try to circumvent it. We are a theologically-driven people. We conduct our lives in accordance with Holy Scripture. We do what we do based upon what the Word of God declares. We have children, even large numbers of them, because we have fealty to the Lord and His Word. Our worldview is shaped by Holy Scripture.
